jhagaṭaṇēṃ (झगटणें).—v c (Jh. Transitive but agreeing with its subject.) To seize violently or roughly; to grasp or clasp rudely: also to brush against forcibly, to graze. Hence fig. To collide or clash with; to contend or dispute with. See ex. under adaḷaṇēṃ.
