Jeypore is an archaeologically important site situated in Sringavarapukota-taluk (Visakhapattnam district, Madras), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Jeypore there is a pedestal of a Sūrya image in the compound of the Nīlakaṇṭheśvara temple.
