Jaṭākaraṇakarman (जटाकरणकर्मन्).—(jaṭā-karaṇa-karman), nt., the ceremony of clipping a young boy's hair except for the top-knot: (Rāhulasya) °karma Mahāvastu iii.263.16; = Sanskrit cūḍākaraṇa, which replaces this as exact synonym in line 18 below.
