Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryjānavaḷa (जानवळ) [or ळें, ḷēṃ].—n A cheek or side-member of the diṇḍa or beam of the harrow kuḷava. It consists of a khuṇṭā or short piece of wood, and it passes into and makes fast the pāsa or paṭṭī at each extremity of the diṇḍa.
