Jagadvyāpāra (जगद्व्यापार) refers to the “activities of the world”, according to the Amanaska Yoga treatise dealing with meditation, absorption, yogic powers and liberation.—Accordingly, as Īśvara says to Vāmadeva: “[...] [Now], I shall define the nature of that highest, mind-free absorption which arises for those devoted to constant practice. [...] Just as [the flame of] a lamp which has been put in a windless [place] shines without moving, so the Yogin who has gone into absorption is free from the activities of the world (jagadvyāpāra-nirmukta). [...]”.
