Vyakarana (Sanskrit grammar)
Itkārya (इत्कार्य).—A grammatical operation caused by इत् (it) i. e. by a mute letter which is purely indicatory; cf. एवं तर्हि इत्कार्याभावादत्र इत्संज्ञा न भविष्यति (evaṃ tarhi itkāryābhāvādatra itsaṃjñā na bhaviṣyati) M.
