A term for luxurious banqueting; exquisite sporting and merry making; any superexcellent or intense revelry or enjoyment: also any exceedingly festal season or occasion. 2 The sporting and frolic or diversion and gratification which characterise the existence of the Hindu īśvara: also the delight arising to him from the contemplation of the jumble and wild disorder of man's mundane condition and relations.
