Source: academia.edu: Dvādaśa-mūrti in Tamil Tradition (iconography)Iruṭikēcaṉ (இருடிகேசன்) (Tamil) (in Sanskrit: Hṛṣikeśa) refers to one of the Twelve Sacred Names of Viṣṇu (Dvādaśamūrti), according to the chapter 2.7 of the Tiruvāymoḻi.—Iruṭikēcaṉ and Paṟpanāpaṉ are the lords. Hṛṣikeśa dislodged the demonic race in Laṅkā. Other epithets that come under Caturviṃśati are notified in the ‘Nālāyiram’ sporadically.
Shilpashastra (शिल्पशास्त्र, śilpaśāstra) represents the ancient Indian science (shastra) of creative arts (shilpa) such as sculpture, iconography and painting. Closely related to Vastushastra (architecture), they often share the same literature.
