Īrṣī (ईर्षी).—or īrṣi = Sanskrit īrṣyā, envy (see § 3.115): Lalitavistara 75.10 (verse) kāmachandu naiva tasya īrṣi (some mss. īrṣyā, unmetrical(ly), while īrṣya would be possible; v.l. also irṣu) naiva hiṃsitā.
