1. To feel pity; பரிதபித்தல். சிற்றுயிர்க் கிரங்கிக் காய்சின வால முண்டாய் [parithapithal. sirruyirk kirangig kaysina vala munday] (திருவாசகம் [thiruvasagam] 6, 50).
2. To condescend; to show grace; கருணைசெய்தல். அரக்கர்க்காற்றா தெய்தின னிரங்கல் வேண்டும் [karunaiseythal. arakkarkkarra theythina nirangal vendum] (ஞானவாசிட்டம் வைராக். [gnanavasittam vairag.] 43).
