Ilayi (இலயி) [ilayittal] 11 intransitive verb < lay fr. lī.
1. To dissolve; to be reduced to original state, as the elements, etc., at the dissolution of the world; ஒடுங்குதல். இலயித்த தன்னி லிலயித்ததாம் [odunguthal. ilayitha thanni lilayithatham] (சிவஞான போதம் [sivagnana potham] 1, 2, 1).
2. To be absorbed, as the soul in the Deity; இரண்டுபொருள் வேற்றுமையறக் கலத்தல். [iranduporul verrumaiyarag kalathal.]
3. To unite; ஐக்கியமாதல். [aikkiyamathal.]
4. To come to destruction, die, perish; அழிதல். [azhithal.] (W.)
