One that undertakes, for a certain sum, to convey goods to the place of their destination; paying all charges for hire and transit-duties, and so arranging with the Custom-farmers as that search or examination of the goods on their passage shall not be necessary. 2 A bridegroom that stipulates for huṇḍā (money &c.) from the father of the girl which he is seeking in marriage.
