Phylum Arthropoda (節肢動物門 [jie zhi dong wu men]), Class Insecta (昆蟲綱 [kun chong gang]), Order Hymenoptera (膜翅目 [mo chi mu]), Family Vespidae (胡蜂科 [hu feng ke]). Its body has alternating black and yellow stripes (黑黃相間的條紋 [hei huang xiang jian de tiao wen]). The sting (螫針 [shi zhen]) at the end of its abdomen (腹部末端 [fu bu mo duan]) is connected to a venom gland (毒腺 [du xian]). When it stings people (螫人 [shi ren]), it injects venom (毒汁 [du zhi]) into the human body, often causing fatalities (致命 [zhi ming]). It mostly feeds on insects (昆蟲 [kun chong]) and small animals (小型動物 [xiao xing dong wu]).
