Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryhōūna (होऊन).—ad (A form of the verb hōṇēṃ used adverbially. ) Being, becoming, coming forward; i. e. standing forth (to act) unconstrained, unprompted, suâ sponte. Ex. tō hōūna jara mulagī dyāyāsa ālā tara karīna mī hōūna kāṃhīṃ māgaṇāra nāhīṃ; tyānēṃ hōūna bulāvilēṃ -sāṅgitalēṃ -dilhēṃ -ghētalēṃ &c. He himself or of himself called, said, gave &c. āpaṇa hōūna khōḍyānta paḍaṇēṃ (To get one's self put into the stocks.) To bring evil upon one's self.
