Source: archive.org: Puranic EncyclopediaHiraṇyaśṛṅgam (हिरण्यशृङ्गम्).—An extensive mountain to the north of Mount Maināka, which is to the north of Mount Kailāsa. This mountain is said to be a mine of gems. (Sabhā Parva, Chapter 3, Verse 10; Bhīṣma Parva, Chapter 6, Verse 42).
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences.
