Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryhātacā (हातचा).—a (This genitive of hāta may be viewed as an adjective. It is inserted because of its commonness and usefulness.) Relating to the hand of, lit. fig.; that is off, from, by, with, or through the hand of; that proceeds from or pertains agentially to (as a gift, a manufacture or product, a work or an act). Ex. bhalatyācē hātacēṃ pāṇī snāna- sandhyēsa upayōgīṃ nāhīṃ; rōgyāsa auṣadha dēṇēṃ hēṃ manuṣyācē hātacēṃ paṇa āyuṣya ghālaṇēṃ hēṃ kāṃhīṃ manuṣyācē hātacēṃ nāhīṃ; hī pōthī mājhē hātacī āhē tēṃ ghara mājhē bhāvācē hātacēṃ; hī sārī daulata tyācē bāpācē hātacī āhē. 2 In arithmetic. That comes to the hand to be carried, and added to the next column of numbers--a number. v yē, rāha, ṭhēva. Ex. bārā āṇi pāñca satrā satrīṃ sāta āṇi hātacā ālā ēka. 3 Readily achievable or feasible; that is within one's compass or range. 4 That is in one's hand or possession or ownership; of one's own property. Pr. hātacēṃ sōḍūna paḷatyācē pāṭhīsa lāgū nayē. hātacā pāḍaṇēṃ To cast away what is in hand; to deprive (a person or one's self) of what is under enjoyment or in possession.
