Harṣavarddhanasvāmin (हर्षवर्द्धनस्वामिन्).—A fairly old grammarian who wrote an extensive metrical compendium on genders named लिङ्गानुशासन (liṅgānuśāsana) on which a commentary was written by a grammarian named शबरस्वासिन् (śabarasvāsin). These grammarians were, of course, different from the reputed king हर्षवर्धन (harṣavardhana) and the Mimamsaka शाबरस्वामिन् (śābarasvāmin).
