Source: Wisdom Library: KathāsaritsāgaraHarighoṣa (हरिघोष) is the father of Devaghoṣa: incarnation of the Vidyādhara Vajravega, according to the Kathāsaritsāgara, chapter 65. Accordingly, “... then Vajravega was born in Mālava as Devaghoṣa, the son of Harighoṣa, a Brāhman. And in that birth also he fought with many, confiding in his heroism, and his father said to him: ‘Do not go on in this way quarrelling with everybody’”.
The Kathāsaritsāgara (‘ocean of streams of story’), mentioning Harighoṣa, is a famous Sanskrit epic story revolving around prince Naravāhanadatta and his quest to become the emperor of the vidyādharas (celestial beings). The work is said to have been an adaptation of Guṇāḍhya’s Bṛhatkathā consisting of 100,000 verses, which in turn is part of a larger work containing 700,000 verses.
