haradamakhyāla (हरदमख्याल).—m ( P A new fancy, whim, or thought every moment. But the origin or composition, and thus the true meaning, of the compound being unknown, the popular apprehension in Maraṭhi is as follows below.) Schemes, expedients, and contrivances endlessly diversified; countless and ever-varying plots, projects, shifts, devices, speculations, enterprises, adventures, efforts (as in pursuit of the means of subsistence; as in accomplishment of an object). Used plurally. Ex. udaranirvāhārtha ha0 karāvē lāgatāta; ha0 karūna tyānēṃ lagna kēlēṃ. 2 Inventiveness, ingeniousness, fertility in resources, shifts, and expedients. In this sense the word is singular. Ex. jyācē aṅgīṃ ha0 nāhīṃ asalā ēkamārgī kāya upayōgī?
