Hānikara (हानिकर).—a. causing loss, detrimental, injurious; अनादिष्टोऽपि भूपस्य दृष्ट्वा हानिकरं च यः । यतते तस्य नाशाय स भृत्योऽर्हो महीभुजाम् (anādiṣṭo'pi bhūpasya dṛṣṭvā hānikaraṃ ca yaḥ | yatate tasya nāśāya sa bhṛtyo'rho mahībhujām) || Pañcatantra (Bombay) 1.88.
