haṅgāmā (हंगामा).—m ( P) Uproar, tumult, hubbub, outcry, riot, wild commotion or disturbance: also an assault or attack; a setting upon with clamor and vociferation and furious manifestations. Note. The first clause or division of this sense is the more correct, the second, the more common.
