憨笑 [hān xiào] [han xiao]—
Silly laughter, foolish laughter. From Chapter 1 of Dream of the Red Chamber (《紅樓夢 [hong lou meng]》): "After hearing this, the two immortal masters (二仙師 [er xian shi]) laughed foolishly together and said, 'Excellent! Excellent! (善哉 [shan zai],善哉 [shan zai]。)'"
憨笑:傻笑、痴笑。《紅樓夢》第一回:「二仙師聽畢,齊憨笑道:『善哉,善哉。』」
hān xiào: shǎ xiào,, chī xiào. < hóng lóu mèng> dì yī huí: “èr xiān shī tīng bì, qí hān xiào dào: ‘shàn zāi, shàn zāi.’ ”

含笑 [hán xiào] [han xiao]—
1. To wear a smile. From Dream of the Red Chamber (《紅樓夢 [hong lou meng]》), Chapter 8: "He hurriedly came forward, kowtowed, and greeted him. Baoyu (寶玉 [bao yu]) quickly smiled and helped him up."
2. Figuratively, when flowers are in their initial bloom. From Song Dynasty (宋 [song]) poet Su Shi's (蘇軾 [su shi]) poem 'On the Road to Xincheng' (〈新城道中 [xin cheng dao zhong]〉), one of two: "Wild peaches (野桃 [ye tao]) smile, the bamboo fence (竹籬 [zhu li]) is short; stream willows (溪柳 [xi liu]) sway by themselves, the sandy water (沙水 [sha shui]) is clear."
含笑:1.面帶笑容。《紅樓夢》第八回:「忙上來打千兒請安。寶玉忙含笑攜他起來。」
2.比喻花初開時。宋.蘇軾〈新城道中〉詩二首之一:「野桃含笑竹籬短,溪柳自搖沙水清。」
hán xiào:1. miàn dài xiào róng. < hóng lóu mèng> dì bā huí: “máng shàng lái dǎ qiān ér qǐng ān. bǎo yù máng hán xiào xié tā qǐ lái.”
2. bǐ yù huā chū kāi shí. sòng. sū shì 〈xīn chéng dào zhōng〉 shī èr shǒu zhī yī: “yě táo hán xiào zhú lí duǎn, xī liǔ zì yáo shā shuǐ qīng.”
han xiao:1. mian dai xiao rong. < hong lou meng> di ba hui: "mang shang lai da qian er qing an. bao yu mang han xiao xie ta qi lai."
