haḷadakuṅkūṃ (हळदकुंकूं).—n (haḷada & kuṅkūṃ The names of two articles in constant use at the female toilette.) haḷada- viḍē m pl (haḷada & viḍā) The ceremony of presenting to husband-having ladies, in the month of caitra or upon the occasion of navarātra &c., turmeric-powder and the colored powder prepared from it called kuṅkūṃ.
