海八德經 [hai ba de jing]—The Sutra on the Eight Virtues of the Ocean — [Sutra Name (經名 [jing ming])] The Sutra Spoken by the Buddha on the Eight Virtues of the Ocean (佛說 [fu shuo]), one fascicle (一卷 [yi juan]), translated by Kumārajīva (秦羅什譯 [qin luo shen yi]) during the Qin dynasty. It enumerates the eight virtues (八德 [ba de]) of the great ocean (大海 [da hai]) to illustrate the eight virtues of the Vinaya Sutras (戒經 [jie jing]). Found in the Lesser Vehicle Section (小乘部 [xiao cheng bu]).

海八德經—【經名】佛說海八德經,一卷,秦羅什譯。舉大海之八德,比顯戒經之八德者。見小乘部。
