Gūḍu (ಗೂಡು):—

1) [noun] a nest a) the structure made or the place chosen by birds for laying their eggs and sheltering their young; b) the place used by turtles, hornets, fish, etc. for spawning or breeding; c) the silky or fibrous case which the larvae of certain insects spin about themselves for shelter during the pupa stage; a cocoon.
