Source: scribd: Submission for classical status of Marathi languageThe pioneer of the Mahānubhāva sect is one Govinda Prabhu alias Guṇḍam Rauḷ who was a resident of Ṛddhapura near Amaravati. It is now accepted that he died in Śaka 1200 i.e. 1278 A.D. The disciple of this person, the illustrious Cākradhara (1298 A.D.), was the most successful preacher of the Mahānubhāva sect in Vidarbha.
