Gopuṃs (गोपुंस्) refers to “bullocks”, according to Āyurveda sections in the Garuḍapurāṇa.—The bullocks (gopuṃs) play important role in fieldwork, hence to keep up the general condition, masūra (lentil) and sāli (rice) pounded and mixed in the milk of a cow or a buffalo is advised internally. This formulation is useful in maintaining the strength of bullocks also.
