Gidda.—(CITD), Telugu-Kannaḍa; a gill, or a liquid ounce; a quarter especially of a sola weighing 16 dubbus. Note: gidda is defined in the “Indian epigraphical glossary” as it can be found on ancient inscriptions commonly written in Sanskrit, Prakrit or Dravidian languages.
