ghuṭī (घुटी).—f Milk spiced and sugared (given to infants &c.) 2 A piece of sugarcane, an internodation or quantity betwixt two joints. It is sold to be eaten, as, being without an eye or joint, it is unfit for setting. 3 (Or ghuṭakā) A ball given by devotees. Hence ghuṭī dēṇēṃ To bewitch, besot, befool. And ghuṭī basaṇēṃ To take its effect upon.
