ghōraṅkāra (घोरंकार).—m (Used pl. ghōra Awful, fearful, and ākāra Form, appearance, or kāra Effort, exertion.) Exceeding action; vehement and strenuous exertion; working with might and main; straining every nerve; employing every means; adopting every wild speculation and every hare-brained scheme. Ex. tyānēṃ ghōraṅkāra karūna ghara bāndhalēṃ, vihīra khaṇalī, lagna kēlēṃ &c. Pr. asatyācē vikāra nasatyācē ghōraṅkāra.
