Source: WorldCat: Rāj nighaṇṭuGāvajavān in the Marathi and Gujarati language is another name for Gojihvā, a medicinal plant identified with Onosma bracteatum Wall. (“true indigo”) from the Boraginaceae or “borage” family of flowering plants, according to verse 4.86-87 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. The fourth chapter (śatāhvādi-varga) of this book enumerates eighty varieties of small plants (pṛthu-kṣupa). Other than the Marathi/Gujarati word Gāvajavān, there are more synonyms identified for this plant among which seven are in Sanskrit.
