garbhachāṭa (गर्भछाट).—m (garbha & H To cut off, clip, pare.) Destruction of the fœtus in the womb. Hence fig. Utter extermination or extirpation; cutting off even the children unborn. 2 m f Culling or picking out: also the culled portion. 3 The bursting of a bomb. 4 Used as a Loaded with bullets, nails, spikes, stones &c.--a gōḷā or tōpha, a shot or a cannon. garbhachāṭa gōḷā therefore will express Bomb, shell, shrapnell &c., and garbha- chāṭa tōpha Gun for bombs or a gun charged with a bomb; bomb-mortar. Also garbhachāṭa f alone, both as Bomb and as Bomb-mortar.
