1) [noun] a woman whois engaged in the business of extracting oil from oil seeds, selling it, etc.

2) [noun] a woman belonging to the caste of 'ಗಾಣಿಗ [ganiga]'.

3) [noun] ಗಾಣಿಗಿತ್ತಿ ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಅಂದರೆ ನೆತ್ತಿ ತಣ್ಣಗಾಗದು [ganigitti ayyo amdare netti tannagagadu] gāṇigitti ayyō andare netti taṇṇagāgadu (prov.) pity, without giving assistance in time of need or distress, is of no use.
