Gandhayakṣa (गन्धयक्ष) refers to the preseding deity of Gandhaśāstra (science of cosmetics and perfumery) according to Gaṅgādhara, author of the Gandhasāra. Gandhayakṣa is a demigod attending upon Śiva and is praised by Gaṅgādhara at the beginning of his work together with Śiva, Gaṇapati and Sarasvatī.
