In this literal sense kōsaḷaṇēṃ & ḍhāsaḷaṇēṃ or dhāsaḷaṇēṃ are more common. 2 fig. also gaṇḍhāḷaṇēṃ v i To fail or be spoiled--crops, produce, a business: to fail, miss, perish; to be marred, smashed, dished--a person, counsel, scheme: to fall away (as from age or disease); to recede or yield timorously; to falter, flinch, quail, give in.
