Gandhamādanaparvata (गन्धमादनपर्वत) refers to the “mountain Gandhamādana”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.49 (“The delusion of Brahmā”).—Accordingly, as Nārada said to the Vālakhilyas: “All of you together go to the mountain Gandhamādana [i.e., gandhamādanaparvatayūyaṃ parvataṃ gandhamādanam]. You shall not stay here. No purpose shall be served by your staying here. After performing great penance you will become great sages and disciples of the sun. This has been said by me at the behest of Śiva”.
