Gaṇapatipratimā (गणपतिप्रतिमा) refers to “Gaṇapati class of images”, as discussed in the Saudhikāgama: an unpublished Sanskrit text of encyclopaedic nature on Orissan temple architecture, town planning and iconography comprising about 4457 verses divided into nine chapters.—In the fourth chapter he expounds the Gaṇapatipratimā-lakṣaṇa. Chapter five is devoted to the explanation of the Śaivapratimā-lakṣaṇa, nṛtyamūrtis and bhairavamūrtis, chapter six to Viṣṇupratimā-lakṣaṇa, and chapter seven to Sūryarahasya. Chapter eight concerns the Śaktirahasya (i.e., the Navadurgārahasya, Daśamahāvidyārahasya and Saptamātṛkārahasya) and their pañjaras. The last chapter consists of a description of the gaṇamūrtis.
