From Yuan Dynasty (元 [yuan]) play, Li Shouqing's (李壽卿 [li shou qing]) Wu Yuan Playing the Flute (《伍員吹簫 [wu yuan chui xiao]》), Act Four: "If it weren't for the old prime minister's (老相國 [lao xiang guo]) great talent and bold strategy (雄材大略 [xiong cai da lue]), and Zhuan Zhu (鱄諸 [zhuan zhu]) daring to take the lead bravely, how could we have today's success?"
From Rare Editions of Yuan and Ming Dynasties Zaju Plays (《孤本元明雜劇 [gu ben yuan ming za ju]》), Purple Mud Proclamation (《紫泥宣 [zi ni xuan]》), First Act: "They are all able to ride warhorses (騎戰馬 [qi zhan ma]), and those who emerge are brave enough to take the lead."
