gamaṇēṃ (गमणें).—v i (gama S To go.) To work in a dull, drowsy, sluggish manner; to move or go with a light, heedless, idling spirit; to toy, trifle, dawdle, dally, loiter, linger, saunter. 2 To pass on pleasantly--time. 3 (gama S To know.) To seem fit unto; to suit or please. Pr. rājyāsa gamalī tī rāṇī. 4 (Poetry. gama S To know.) To seem or appear unto; to be thought or felt by: also to seem or appear gen. Ex. śrīrāmāsa aisēṃ gamalēṃ || kīṃ hā rākṣasa baisalā ||. Ex. ambarēṃ ājina kāṃ para dēsī || kāya tuja gamatōṃ paradēsī ||.
