gājaviṇēṃ (गाजविणें).—v c (Active of gājaṇēṃ q. v.) To make to sound, roar, bellow. 2 To make notorious; to proclaim aloud. 3 This verb takes up into combination numerous nouns of a particular class, and with them expresses To perform or do grandly, gloriously, famously, with great eclat or bruit. Ex. taravāra gājaviṇēṃ To make one's sword ring again; to do mighty feats; to achieve prodigies of valour; kīrtti-nāṃva- &c. gājaviṇēṃ To fill the world with one's fame or name; lagna-muñja- prayōjana &c. gājaviṇēṃ To celebrate (a marriage &c.) with much pomp or in dashing style; kārigarī gā0, cākarī gā0, ḍaṅkā gā0 &c. It is a familiar word. gājavūna vājavūna karaṇēṃ To do with all openness and publicity.
