gadharvanagara (गधर्वनगर).—n (S) A city of the gandharva, a celestial or enchanted city affirmed to appear and disappear suddenly or in unexpected situations. Applied also to the aërial appearances of earthly objects (cities, gardens &c.) produced by refraction, Fata morgana. 2 The term will answer for Calenture-visions. gandharvanagarāsārakhā Evanescent, transient, fugitive, fleeting.
