gaccī (गच्ची).—f A chunamed floor. 2 Crowdedness; pressed and squeezed state. 3 The slings and tie by which the yard is suspended and secured midway across the mast. 4 Esp. amongst children. A push upon the back of the neck: also the nape of the neck. 5 A cheek. Used only with contemptuous implication, and with reference to pinching, squeezing, slapping, aching &c. Ex. gaccī dābūna-dharalī-phōḍalī-muragāḷalī-du:khatī-sujalī phugalī &c.
