Gacchantaka (गच्छन्तक).—= Sanskrit gacchant(-a), walking: Mahāvastu iii.330.2 (prose) (kiṃ nu khalu purimakāḥ samyaksaṃ- buddhāḥ) gacchantakā dharmacakraṃ pravartenti (the only ms. °tanti) tiṣṭhanto vā niṣaṇṇā vā śayantakā vā. No apparent reason for -ka. Cf. next.
