佛說 [fu shuo]—Buddha's preaching; the Buddha said. Buddha's utterance of the sutras. There are over 150 sutras of which the titles begin with these two words, e.g. 佛說無量壽經 [fu shuo wu liang shou jing] Aparimitāyus Sutra, tr. by Saṇghavarman A.D. 252.

佛說 [fu shuo]—(Fó shuō)—[術語 [shu yu] (shù yǔ)] Among the 經典 [jing dian] (jīng diǎn) of 佛教 [fu jiao] (Fó jiào), there are five types of discourses attributed to different individuals, and "Buddha's discourse" is one of them. "Buddha's discourse" refers to the Dharma personally proclaimed by the Buddha's golden mouth. The Chapter on the Parable of the Medicinal Herbs in the 法華經 [fa hua jing] (Fǎ huá jīng) states: "The 如來 [ru lai] (Rú lái) is the king of all dharmas; whatever he speaks is never false."
佛說—【術語】凡佛教之經典有五人之說者,佛說其一也。佛說者,佛之金口自宣說法也。法華經藥草喻品曰:「如來是諸法之王,若有所說皆不虛也。」
[shù yǔ] fán fú jiào zhī jīng diǎn yǒu wǔ rén zhī shuō zhě, fú shuō qí yī yě. fú shuō zhě, fú zhī jīn kǒu zì xuān shuō fǎ yě. fǎ huá jīng yào cǎo yù pǐn yuē: “rú lái shì zhū fǎ zhī wáng, ruò yǒu suǒ shuō jiē bù xū yě.”
