佛立三昧 [fu li san mei]—(Fólì Sānmèi) — [Term] The Pratyutpanna Samadhi (般舟三昧 [ban zhou san mei]), which translates to Buddha Standing Samadhi. When this samadhi is achieved, one sees the Buddhas of the ten directions standing before them. The Pratyutpanna Samadhi Sutra (般舟三昧經 [ban zhou san mei jing]) states: "There is a samadhi [in which] the Buddhas of the ten directions (十方諸佛 [shi fang zhu fu]) all stand before [one]." Zhiguan (止觀 [zhi guan]) Volume 2 states: "This method originates from the Pratyutpanna Samadhi Sutra (般舟三昧經 [ban zhou san mei jing]) and is translated as 'Buddha Standing (佛立 [fu li])'."
