方服 [fang fu]—Fāngfú — [a type of] Yīfu (衣服 [yi fu]) (clothing/garment). It refers to the monastic robe of a Bhikṣu (比丘 [bi qiu]) (specifically, the three-piece Kasaya (三品袈裟 [san pin jia sha])). As it is entirely square-shaped (方形 [fang xing]), it is thus called Fāngfú, and also known as Fāngpáo (方袍 [fang pao]). Bhikṣu Gécchéng Cíyún (葛城慈雲 [ge cheng ci yun]) authored 'Illustrated Record of Fāngfú (圖記 [tu ji])'.

方服—【衣服】比丘之法衣(即三品袈裟),盡為方形,故謂之方服,又云方袍。葛城慈雲比丘著有方服圖記。
