1) Eḻiṉi (Añci) is a name related to the historical geography and rulers of ancient Tamil Nadu, occuring in Sangam literature such as the Akanāṉūṟu and the Puṟanāṉūṟu.—Notes: A patron, 105, 211 notes Vēṅkaṭattu-umpar (celestials of Vēṅkaṭam).
2) Eḻiṉi (Ātaṉ)—A king (VIS 154), 216 notes Kōcar, Celli (Puṟam. 153, 230, 392, ‘Pokuṭṭeḻiṉi’ 98, 102, 392).
