Source: What is India: Inscriptions of the ŚilāhārasEḍenāḍa is the name of a country mentioned in the “Herle stone inscription of Gaṇḍarāditya”. Eḍenāḍa finds mention in two other records, viz. the two Kolhāpur stone inscriptions of Bhōja II (Nos. 58 and 59).
This stone inscription (mentioning Eḍenāḍa) was found at Herle, a village, about 11.25 km. west of Hātakaṇangale in the Kolhāpur District. It records the grant of one matter of land in Eḍenāḍa and a garden to the Tīrthaṅkara Chandraprabha in the Basadi. It was made on the occasion of a lunar eclipse in Śaka 1040, when the cyclic year was Vilambi.
