Dvīpāmnāya (द्वीपाम्नाय) refers to the “Tradition concerning the Islands”, according to the Tantric texts such as the Kubjikāmata-tantra, the earliest popular and most authoritative Tantra of the Kubjikā cult.—The goddess declares that Bhairava has enjoined her to practice the Dvīpāmnāya in the past. Now she wants him to tell her about it according to the teaching concerning ultimate reality (paramārthopadeśa).
