ḍubalā (डुबला).—m A degraded tribe, or an individual of it, in N. Konkan̤.

dubaḷā (दुबळा).—a (durbala S) Poor, powerless, helpless; destitute of money, wit, or other means of greatness. Pr. dubaḷyālā dēvavata nāhīṃ phāṭakyālā śivavata nāhīṃ We cannot go on feeding a starveling or sewing a rag. 2 Thin, lean, meagre. This sense is the Hindustani sense, and is less common.
